Our goal for our breeding program is to breed strong, fast, athletic horses that are built right, look right, and are intelligent and easy to be around. We strongly believe in the female line and have worked hard to find some of the best proven mares we could. Our mares are what we are building our program with and we are proud of them and the babies they are raising for us. That said, we just happen to think we found quite a "Guy" for our program too.
We have followed the Frenchman's Guy program for many years and our dream of owning one of his sons came true for us in 2004. We chose Guy's Boon Bar to sire our foals because of his strong cattle horse bloodlines as well as for the proven arena performance and speed bloodlines. He is balanced, straight, and built to perform with his short back, long underline, low set hocks, and short cannon bones. He is kind and intelligent and really wants to ride. He is started on the barrels and is doing great. Despite a nagging injury we had alot of fun and some success at the 5 State Breeders Barrel Futurity and the Fizz Bomb Barrel Futurity in the fall of 2008.We chose Guy's Boon Bar knowing the type of mares we wanted to breed to him. Most of our mares are proven on the race track having speed indexes that rate them as AA and AAA. They are all big and correct and have the breeding that has been proven again and again to be the best. We are proud of what we have started and look forward to continuing to do what we love.
